Carter Caplan

Carter Caplan is a 19 year-old sophomore at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, majoring in Sport Management. At age 15, Carter co-founder of Umttr (pronounced you matter), which is a non-profit organization raising awareness for teen suicide. Carter has also overcome mental health issues and attended a therapeutic boarding school in high school to help him overcome that. Currently, at Drexel, he is one of the Managers of the Women’s Basketball team. Besides his work with Umttr and managing he is also a Nationally Certified Baseball Umpire, umpiring High School Varsity Baseball and below, along with getting inducted into the Youth Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York, at the Cooperstown Dreams Park. Carter wants to become a professional umpire as well or work for an MLB baseball team dealing with player analytics and player statistics while supporting mental health initiatives for athletes.
