Coach Griffin led Roman Catholic to the Pennsylvania Class 6A State Title.  The Cahillites also took home the Catholic League title in February of 2018.  The team finished with a 24-6 overall record and an impressive 13-2 in league play. USA Today ranked the 2017-2018 Roman Catholic team as the #3 team in all of Pennsylvania. According to MaxPreps, Roman Catholic was ranked #2 in the State and #28 in the country.
