Coach Prachniak led the Golden Rams to the NCAA Division II National Championship in June of 2017.  The team went 44-11 in 2017 and Coach Prachniak was recognized as the American Baseball Coaches Association Division II Coach of the Year.  The 2017 Golden Rams won the Pennsylvania State Athletic Association East Division Regular Season Championship with a 22-6 conference record.  The team was the Atlantic Regional representative in the DII World Series in Grand Prairie, TX where the team went 4-0 on its way to Coach Prachniak second national title in his tenure at WCU.
